Premiere of the Winning Works from the 3rd Sing for Love Choral Composition Competition

Writing Down Our Hopes for Love, Singing Our Blessings for Society

The premiere concert of the winning works from the 3rd Sing for Love Choral Composition Competition is presented jointly by the Taipei Chamber Singers and Taipei HuaShin Children’s Chorus, joined by the Rotary International District 3521 Choir, in a concrete act of support for the “End Polio” campaign. Through warm and heartfelt songs, every singer on stage expresses care for the public good.

The Sing for Love Choral Composition Competition is a collaboration between Rotary International District 3521 and the Taipei Chamber Singers. Since its founding in 2018, it has built a comprehensive platform for new Chinese-language choral works through premieres, publication, and outreach. This year’s competition took “Imagination Brings Strength” and “Taiwan’s Cultural Landscapes” as its themes, inviting works that convey the beauty of Taiwan and embrace vision and ideals. A new Songwriting Category, open to entries consisting of a single melody with lyrics, was also added to encourage members of the public with a passion for music to try their hand at writing songs, to discover promising new songwriters, and to deepen the foundations of choral music in Taiwan.
