Sixteen new works were premiered at Chung Cheng Hall, Zhongshan Hall, Taipei; the concert supported the global “End Polio Now” campaign and the Türkiye–Syria Earthquake Relief Fund, with ticket revenue funding the publication of the winning works collection.

Our thanks to Mr. 高志尚, Chairman of the National Performing Arts Center; Ms. 林曼麗, Professor Emerita of National Taipei University of Education; Ms. 李澤汝, District Governor of Rotary International District 3521; Mr. 王光明, founder of the Sing for Love project and Past District Governor of Rotary International District 3521; Mr. 張順立, former President of the Friends of the National Culture and Arts Foundation; Mr. 楊岳虎, Vice President of the Friends of the National Culture and Arts Foundation; and the many Rotary friends, members of the music community, family and friends who joined us on the evening of 10 March at Chung Cheng Hall, Zhongshan Hall, Taipei, to witness this edition’s awards ceremony and the premiere of the winning works.

The 16 new works that won this edition’s Best Composition and Best Lyrics Awards were premiered in performances and readings by the Taipei Chamber Singers, Taipei HuaShin Children’s Chorus, host 邢子青 and the winners of the lyrics awards; the Rotary International District 3521 Choir also gave the world premiere of the mixed-choir version of “Toward Pisilian” (走向 比西里岸), a prize-winning work from the 2nd competition.

The Sing for Love project aims to cultivate fertile ground for choral composition in Taiwan and to build a complete chain of choral music creation, and over the years it has also served the public good through the performing arts. With the full support of Rotary International District 3521, this concert supported the global “End Polio Now” campaign and the Türkiye–Syria Earthquake Relief Fund, and the concert’s ticket revenue went toward publishing this edition’s collection of winning works—putting the power of love into concrete action.

Congratulations once again to every winner. We look forward to seeing you all continue on the path of creation and bravely give voice to what is in your hearts.
