The 4th Sing for Love International Choral Composition Competition: Premiere of Award-Winning Works

Writing Our Hopes for Love, Singing Our Blessings for the World

The premiere concert and awards ceremony of the 4th Sing for Love International Choral Composition Competition is presented by Taipei Chamber Singers, who join Taipei HuaShin Children’s Chorus and the Rotary International District 3521 Choir in premiering this year’s 16 new works.

The Sing for Love competition grew out of a simple and beautiful wish: to write down our hopes for love and to sing our blessings for the world. Initiated by entrepreneur 王光明 and presented by Taipei Chamber Singers since 2018, it has supported composers step by step through calls for works, professional performances, score publication, and outreach lectures, helping to build a fuller and more vibrant creative ecosystem for the choral world.

This edition opened to international submissions for the first time, with no restrictions on age or nationality, for works written in Mandarin, Taiwanese Hokkien, Hakka, or Taiwanese Indigenous languages. From nearly one hundred submissions, the jury selected 16 winning works that combine singability with artistic merit.

Awards were presented by 林淇瀁 (向陽), Chair of the National Culture and Arts Foundation, and the ceremony was hosted by 林伯杰. The Rotary International District 3521 Choir also performed winning works from the 3rd competition during the concert.
