“A Feast of Sound”: A Renaissance Bistro

A Music-Only Tasting Menu
In this new 2018 production, the Taipei Chamber Singers approach the Renaissance through the familiar pleasures of food, inviting audiences to sense the refinement and beauty of its art. Secular works of the Renaissance have been carefully arranged into a unique musical menu, seasoned with the purest and most harmonious of notes, to awaken every one of the listener’s senses.
Our host for the evening, “musical gourmet” 林伯杰, will share the long history of Western food culture as the program’s delightful pieces are transformed into one course after another, so that together we may savor the essence of Renaissance vocal music.
The Renaissance Bistro is about to open its doors. Guests are warmly invited to come and enjoy an enriching feast for the mind and spirit.
