Grace in Resonance

“Grace in Resonance” brings the bright, clear treble of pure female voices over a rich, close-knit lower register, a quiet strength emerging from layer upon layer of sound.

The program unfolds in four chapters: it opens in praise with sacred music, stretches out through songs from distant lands, settles into the tender warmth of familiar melodies, and closes with songs of the land and of dreams. The solemnity of Latin, the faraway places evoked by Japanese and Indonesian, and the deep feeling of Taiwan’s own languages all meet on this one evening, as graceful female voices let their song resonate far and wide.
