TCS Fifty Mixed Choir TCS Fifty Mixed Choir

Founded in 2011 under conductor 方素貞, the TCS Fifty Mixed Choir is the only mixed choir of the TCS Institute for Choral Arts. Its members come from all walks of life and share a love of singing, pursuing their musical ideals on stage.

Since its founding, the TCS Fifty Mixed Choir has given more than fifty performances in venues far and wide. In 2017 it made its debut on the stage of the National Concert Hall in Taipei, and between 2019 and 2026 it presented its own full-length concerts, Blooming 50, at the National Recital Hall, the Eslite Performance Hall, the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Taipei Biotechnology Park and the Chung Cheng Auditorium of Zhongshan Hall, Taipei, steadily deepening its musical strength.

In addition to its own concerts, the TCS Fifty Mixed Choir has taken part many times in TCS Funfest, the large-scale production presented by the TCS Institute for Choral Arts, sharing the stage and exchanging ideas with outstanding choirs from Taiwan and abroad. It has also been invited to perform internationally in Miyazaki, Japan, and Surabaya, Indonesia, presenting selected Taiwanese choral works and exchanging different cultural perspectives.

A key advocate for choral music, the TCS Fifty Mixed Choir has long used choral singing to reach out to the community, touring regularly to museums, hospitals, senior care centers and community organizations. By bringing music closer to the public and into everyday life, the choir sows seeds of beauty and goodness wherever it goes.
