Included in “Chinese Choral Music Anthology: Music Unlimited II.”

About the Work

“The Camels Carrying Willows” is an a cappella work for mixed choir that portrays green hope being brought to the desert. Based on the music of the Uyghur people of Xinjiang, it uses the voices to imitate camel bells, approaching from afar and then fading into the distance, painting an extraordinary scene in the Taklamakan Desert of Xinjiang.
