From the heart, listening to the profound beauty held in the land
Pure, authentic voices: featuring new arrangements of the Paiwan ancient song “Laisu” (來甦) and the Atayal folk songs “My Friend I Miss” (我懷念的朋友) and “Harvest Song” (收割歌)
Timeless lyrical treasures: “Moonlit Night Sorrow” (月夜愁), “Under the Flowering Tree” (花樹下), “Saying Goodbye to Cambridge Again” (再別康橋), “Song of Yangguan” (陽關曲), and other classics distilled from diverse cultures
Timeless lyrical treasures × “Moonlit Night Sorrow,” “Under the Flowering Tree,” “Saying Goodbye to Cambridge Again,” “Song of Yangguan,” and other classics distilled from diverse cultures. The album “LISTENING” brings together traditional songs and new works from Taiwan’s four major ethnic groups (Indigenous, Hoklo, Hakka, and Mainlander), telling, through stories full of life, of the diverse beauty of Taiwanese culture from city to village. It builds a bridge of listening between us, inviting each of us to begin from the heart and give thanks for every voice this land has nurtured.
