About the Program

What did “home” look like when you were a child? Was it in a city or in the countryside? Was there a bustling traditional market nearby, with a temple-front opera troupe and grilled sausages?

Music Unlimited, our series devoted to the future of vocal music, has a key visual this time that is very different from before.

The series began with concerts of commissioned works, and has since included special exhibitions, unconventional performances and theatre productions.

After five years, we return to the concert hall to present “Drama・Dream・Doppler” (戲・夢・都卜勒) as a full-length concert.

Key visual designer cincin chang started from the corrugated metal roofs and parasols so common in Taiwan, and designed for us this road home.

Three composers, all living far from home, each long for the place they came from. They are homesick.

But how will they get home?

Taipei Chamber Singers has invited three gifted composers, Shiuan Chang, Li-Ying Wu and Chung-Yuan Yu, to write new works on the theme of “looking back on Taiwan from abroad.”
