“Silly Child” (戇囡仔; lyrics and music: 劉毅), the second-prize work in the Mixed Choir Category of the 1st Sing for Love competition, has been chosen as a set piece for the 2026–27 school year (ROC year 115) National Students’ and Teachers’ Local Language and New Immigrant Language Song Competition.
Since 2018, Sing for Love has accompanied composers and songwriters as they grow, through calls for new works, professional premieres, score publication and outreach lectures. Seeing a prize-winning work enter the singing of students and teachers across the country, and be sung by ever more people, is exactly what this platform hoped for from the very beginning.
The Sing for Love creation and publishing platform welcomes all composers and songwriters who love this land and its culture and care deeply about people. Submissions for the 5th Sing for Love International Choral Composition Competition close on 31 August.
