The 2nd Sing for Love Choral Composition Competition: Revocation of Awards and Additional Winner

After the winners of the 2nd Sing for Love Choral Composition Competition were announced, the jury received a number of reports from the public that certain winning works were “previously published, non-original works,” in breach of the competition rules. To uphold Sing for Love’s commitment to new creation and to maintain the fairness of the competition, the jury resolved to revoke the awards of “On Longing: November Rain” (關於想念，十一月的雨), a Merit Award winner in the Mixed Choir Category, and “Bird of Paradise” (樂園鳥), the Outstanding Award winner in the Equal Voices Category. At the same time, in keeping with the competition’s aim of encouraging young people to write for choir, one additional Merit Award in the Equal Voices Category has been granted: 許以昕, “Our Hometown” (我們的家鄉).
