Singing from the world’s northern and southern ends: a grand musical journey of the imagination

From Northern Europe to South America, the 2020 flagship production “Madame Rouge’s Fantasy World – Misa Criolla” presents the striking contrast between cultures of different lands, between icy cold and burning heat. The concert features a selection of a cappella works full of contemporary beauty by the Finnish composers J. Mäntyjärvi, P. Kostiainen and J. Linkola, revealing the distinctive vocabulary of Nordic voices, alongside two large-scale sacred works rich in national character: the “Gloria” by French composer F. Poulenc and the “Misa Criolla” by Argentine composer A. Ramírez — different languages, each brilliant in its own way. The 2020 “Madame Rouge’s Fantasy World – Misa Criolla” sets sail for distant lands, embarking on a grand musical journey across the changing latitudes.
