許聰義

Trained in classical music from childhood, 許聰義 graduated from the Department of Western Music at Chinese Culture University and went on to study jazz with 烏野薰 and 張凱雅, performing at music venues around Taipei from 2005. In 2010 they served as piano instructor at the Taichung Jazz Camp and have been invited many times to perform at the Taichung Jazz Festival. 許聰義 has been the pianist for the 史茵茵 Jazz Band, the Amoeba Jazz Band, the 2011 concert “We All Love 李泰祥” (我們都愛李泰祥), and Indigenous singer Ilid Kaolo; in 2011 performed with drummer 根石大輔, guitarist 菊田俊介, and singer David Chen; from 2015 to 2021 took part in calligrapher 董陽孜’s cross-disciplinary calligraphy theatre Sao+ (騷＋) and the fashion design showcase Reading Clothes (讀衣); and in 2022 served as piano instructor for the MI workshop, instructor at the Taipei Jazz Camp, and pianist for “Jazz Good Times” (爵對好時光) in the NTCH Summer Jazz series.

許聰義 currently performs regularly at Blue Note Taipei and is the pianist of 青聰 Jazz, the OJS Trio, the 聰銘 Jazz Duo, and the GK Jazz Quintet.
