Jun Ying Luo Luo, Jun Ying (Bass)

A graduate of the master’s program in music at Soochow University, Jun Ying Luo is active on stages in Taiwan and abroad and frequently sings leading roles in opera, including Don Giovanni, La traviata, Gianni Schicchi, and Lucia di Lammermoor. In 2005 Luo made a debut on the Japanese opera stage as Sarastro in The Magic Flute, and later joined the Fujiwara Opera company (The Japan Opera Foundation), appearing in productions including Rigoletto, La bohème, and Macbeth. In 2011 Luo successfully portrayed the King of Egypt in the large-scale production of Aida presented by the Taipei Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
