Echoes of Taiwanese Music: Encounter – Choral Works of David L. Wen

Taiwan Music Institute “Echoes of Taiwanese Music” series: “Encounter: Choral Works of David L. Wen” (邂逅─温隆信合唱作品音樂會)

Choral music, in which human voices blend and intertwine and meet the words of a text, has always had a special power to touch the heart. Ancient songs passed down in the mountains and forests, new choral works echoing through the city—sung and answered across generations, these beautiful voices have nourished and enriched the spirit of the people of Taiwan. This concert presents a selection of composer David L. Wen’s works for children’s choir and mixed choir, performed jointly by 揚音兒童合唱團 and Taipei Chamber Singers, an ensemble known for its interpretations of new works, together with a crossover guest appearance by 四爪樂團, whose members have won Golden Melody and Golden Indie Music Awards. Pure and sincere voices meet across classical, jazz and contemporary styles in a brilliant and unforgettable choral concert.
