The 3rd Sing for Love Choral Composition Competition opened for entries in May this year (2022) and closed at the end of October, receiving 85 submissions in total. The jury was chaired by composer Shu Xi Chen and included musicians 林純純, 許双亮, 陳麗芬, and 劉聖賢, together with renowned lyricist 李焯雄 and writer 廖咸浩. After lively deliberation, the jury selected 16 winning works.

Beyond rewarding each winner with prize money, the Sing for Love project will go on to provide quality channels for performing, publishing, and promoting the works. The 16 winning works will be premiered by Taipei Chamber Singers and Taipei HuaShin Children’s Chorus at the award ceremony and premiere concert on 10 March 2023. Through the concert, licensed score publication, and a series of outreach projects, we hope that each of these inspiring works celebrating the beauty of Taiwan will be widely sung.
