Le Concert Français Le Concert Français

Le Concert Français was founded in 1986 by the French harpsichordist and conductor Pierre Hantaï. Driven by a passion for Baroque music and a desire to explore its subtleties, Pierre Hantaï brought together baroque flautist Marc Hantaï and, with the help of the Dutch conductor Frans Brüggen, established the ensemble. Founding members also included François Fernandez, Florence Malgoire, Ryo Terakado, Ageet Zweistra, Simon Heyerick, and Jean-Marc Forest, all widely recognized as leading interpreters of Baroque music. Le Concert Français is devoted to promoting 18th-century repertoire and is frequently invited to perform at major Baroque music festivals.
