Last updated: 18 October 2026

Taipei Chamber Singers (Unified Business No. 97979088; “TCS”, “we” or “us”) operates this website, tcschoir.org.tw. This policy explains how we collect, process and use your personal data, and how you can exercise your rights.

1. What We Collect

Information you provide:

  • When you order products: your name, recipient name, phone number, email address and delivery address.
  • When you register an account or sign in with LINE or Google (including opening our LINE MINI App “TCS Orders” in LINE): your email address, display name, profile picture, and the user ID provided by that service.
  • When you order concert tickets via LINE: your name, mobile number and ticket collection method (if you choose to have tickets left at the venue, also the name of the person collecting them and, optionally, that person’s phone number), seating preference, notes, and the last five digits of the bank account and the date of the transfer you report to us.
  • When you submit the group ticket registration or partnership inquiry form on the “Tickets & Offers” page: the contact person’s name, mobile number, email address (optional), organization name and a description of your request.
  • When you write to us or contact us via LINE: whatever you include in your message.

Information generated automatically:

  • Order records: items purchased, amount, time, order status, delivery method and pickup store.
  • Payment results: the transaction number and payment method returned by the payment provider, and the first six and last four digits of your credit card number.
  • Browsing data: pages visited, referral source, device and browser type (collected through Google Analytics).
  • Shopping cart contents: stored temporarily in a cookie in your browser and in a session on this site.

We never receive your full credit card number, expiry date or security code. Payment is completed on the payment provider’s page, and this site receives only the result of the transaction.

2. Why We Collect It

  • To process orders, payments, shipping, returns and exchanges.
  • To process ticket orders: seat allocation, payment, issuing or mailing tickets, and keeping you updated on your order via LINE.
  • To create and maintain your account so you can look up your own orders.
  • To send necessary transaction notices such as order confirmations and shipping notifications.
  • To send news about our concerts, publications and events; every email includes an unsubscribe link, and once you unsubscribe we will stop sending them.
  • To understand how the website is used so we can improve our content and services.
  • To retain transaction records as required by law.

We will not sell, rent or provide your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Who We Share It With

To fulfil the purposes above, we share data with the following parties only to the extent necessary:

  • Payment provider (ECPay): the order information needed to process payment.
  • Logistics providers (ECPay and its partner convenience stores and home delivery carriers): the recipient’s name, phone number, address or pickup store needed for delivery.
  • Email service (Google Workspace): the recipient address and message content needed to send notification emails.
  • Google Sheets (Google Workspace): the master order sheet our ticketing staff use to process ticket orders.
  • Website analytics (Google Analytics): browsing data that does not include your name, phone number or address.
  • Where disclosure is required by law or by a competent authority.

Beyond what is necessary as described above, we do not provide your personal data to any other third party. The LINE user ID, display name and email address obtained through the LINE MINI App are used only to identify you, link your account on this site and send order notifications, and are not provided to third parties.

When live on-screen comments are open at a concert, the text you send to our official LINE account, your LINE name and your profile picture are kept for 60 days for on-screen projection and prize draws. Your name and profile picture appear on screen only if you choose “Show my name”.

4. How Long We Keep It

  • Order and accounting data: kept for at least 5 years from the date of the transaction. This is the retention period for accounting records required by the Business Entity Accounting Act. When the retention period ends, we will delete or de-identify the data within a reasonable time.
  • Account data: kept until you delete your account. You may ask us to delete your account at any time; once it is deleted, we no longer keep your name, contact details or sign-in IDs.
  • Phone numbers from ticket orders: deleted one year after the performance. This includes the phone numbers of the person placing the order and the person collecting the tickets, as well as those submitted on the group ticket registration and partnership inquiry forms (for inquiries not tied to a performance, one year from submission). Order records such as names, tickets and amounts are kept for the period stated above for order and accounting data.
  • News mailing list: kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data: cleared automatically according to the data retention settings of Google Analytics; we do not keep a separate copy.

5. Your Rights

Under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you may at any time exercise the following rights regarding the personal data we hold about you:

  • To inquire about or review it.
  • To request a copy.
  • To request that it be supplemented or corrected.
  • To request that we stop collecting, processing or using it.
  • To request its deletion.

How to exercise your rights: email info@tcschoir.org.tw or call (02) 2776-4089. Under Article 13 of the Personal Data Protection Act, we will decide on requests to inquire, review or obtain a copy within 15 days of receipt, and on requests to supplement, correct, stop collection, processing or use, or delete within 30 days. Where necessary, this period may be extended as permitted by law, and we will tell you why. To protect your interests, we may need to verify your identity first.

One point we want to make clear: because of the statutory retention obligation described above, records of completed orders are not deleted when you delete your account; they are kept until the statutory period ends. We will, however, stop using that data for any purpose other than the original transaction.

6. You May Choose Not to Provide Data

Providing personal data is entirely your choice. However, without the name, contact details and address needed for an order, we will be unable to process and deliver it. You may also check out as a guest without registering an account.

7. Cookies

This site uses cookies to remember your shopping cart and sign-in status, and uses Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the shopping cart and sign-in may then not work properly.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will post the changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
