Ocean Voyagers
About the Program
Pure voices journeying across time and between the two shores of the ocean
As the art of the human voice has evolved through history, what rich colors has it taken on?
From the restrained purity of medieval and Renaissance music to the vivid brilliance of contemporary American choral music and spirituals that cry out with life, the Taipei Chamber Singers, winner of 15 major European choral prizes and the Golden Melody Award for Traditional Arts and Music for Best Vocal Performance, travels through time and across oceans in 2011 with the voices of voyagers, leading music lovers on a boundless vocal journey through the history of choral art.
