ISCM-Musicarama
About the Program
Building on its experience of hosting the ISCM World Music Days in 1988, 2002 and 2007, the Hong Kong Composers’ Guild, as the ISCM Hong Kong Section, is this year organizing ISCM-Musicarama 2015. With a history of more than twenty years, Musicarama is a well-loved annual new-music event in Hong Kong. This year it incorporates elements of the International Society for Contemporary Music: the four-day mini-festival presents four concerts and a day of composers’ forums in two sessions, showcasing more works from around the world. Audiences can hear performances by the Taipei Chamber Singers from Taiwan and the East Wind Ensemble (東風合奏團) from Japan, together with local ensembles the Global Symphony Orchestra (寰宇交響樂團), the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra chamber ensemble, and the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble.
