A Beautiful New World: Songs for Mothers

Taiwan is a beautiful mosaic, and its classic memories belong to all of us. Its many communities are Taiwan’s mothers, the most essential source of the island’s vitality. Wherever one’s cultural roots may lie, a mother’s resilience and love are the same: fearlessly devoting themselves to their families, tending and nurturing this land, they hold up an entire generation with boundless tolerance and tenderness, binding heart to heart to create a beautiful new world together.

The concert is woven together through themes including Memories of Taiwan, Colorful Hakka, Colorful Indigenous Cultures, and Blessings from Afar. Alongside classic Taiwanese songs, the program also features traditional folk songs from distant lands. Music is love without distance: on the eve of Mother’s Day, the Taipei Chamber Singers dedicates a rich and varied program to mothers, singing with sincere and moving voices of one warm generation after another.
